The Mayor and Council serve four-year terms. The Mayor is the chief administrator and Council serves as legislative body.    Vickie L. Raines • Mayor Vickie Raines was appointed to Council in November of 1999, and began serving her first elected term January 1, 2000. In December of 2002 she was appointed to the Mayor position. She is married and has three children. E-mail Mayor Raines    Joe Shapansky • Council-Member, Position 4 Joe Shapansky is married, has three grown children, and is a lifetime resident of Cosmopolis. A long-term resident of Cosmopolis, he is married and has three grown children.
